Rehoming a dog

If you are interested in rehoming one of our dogs please follow the steps below.

1. Take a look at our Dogalogue
2. Call one of our volunteers for more information on the dog/s you are interested in
3. One of our volunteers will interview you as a potential owner over the telephone
4. If both parties agree an appointment to home check will be made
5. Once the home check has been completed & providing it has met AVAR general standards & specific requirements of the dog in question we will arrange for you to meet the dog
6. Providing ALL parties are happy to proceed the dog will be placed with you on a trial basis
7. Once the trial is complete & AVAR remain happy that the dog is being cared for appropriately we will issue Adoption papers for signature
